The Tech Museum of Innovation - Week 4

Hello hello,

The final week of my internship has arrived and I got to say that I will defiantly miss the Tech Museum. My official last day is this upcoming Tuesday. I have gotten the opportunity to get to know some really nice and helpful staff members and if it was not for their help and generosity I would have done really really bad at the exhibits I was stationed at. I am thankful for that. Something that I have gotten from this experience is better communication skills and I believe that if it was not for the Young Ambassadors Program, over all, I would still be that extremely shy girl at the beginning of June.
This final week at the Tech nothing unusually happened; everything went great. There were no new exhibits I was stationed at but I did get stationed at exhibits by myself. Usually for the past three weeks I would be stationed with at least a staff member incase I did not know what to do or a guest came up with something I could not answer. This week I was alone at certain exhibits and yes I was a little nervous about that but, in my opinion, everything ran smoothly.

(Pictures!! Finally!)
Attached above is one of the pictures I took from an exhibit called Just Wing It. In this exhibit guest, especially little kids, get the opportunity to build their own glider using different types of wings and tails. They get a total of five flights to test their gilders and make a goal for their glider.

These two pictures above are part of the exhibit called Cyber Detectives which is made up of different activities for guest to do and this is one of them. In this activity guest are given three different types of keys and they try to fit it into the lock and see if it will work. If all three keys do not work then guest learn how to pick the lock and change the pins so one of the keys will work. (It is really hard to pick the lock, in my first week a little girl asked for help and I tried to help her but to no success). Sorry for the small amount of pictures!

All in all, my time at my internship was one of a kind and it will be missed.
Best wishes,
Brisdy
